Way back when the Earth was still flat, the Portuguese football team sailed their ship down to the Republic to play football against the Boers. As gifts they brought olives with them for the people at the tip of Africa. Captain Brandt’s niece, captain of South Africa’s team, got some of the olives from him and soon made a fragrant olive sauce from them. From then on, she was known as Olyfie Brandt. If you like olives and spices with a lot of garlic, the fragrant sauce is for you. You can eat it on anything.
